Like the hotels on Tulum beach, the hotels in Tulum pueblo have an awareness of the environment and their impact they have on that environment. Although many hotels in Tulum Pueblo will have air conditioning and other amenities, please do not be wasteful. Our electricity is not only a large cost financially, it is a large cost to the environment. You can do your part by not leaving your air conditioner on while you are out. Try to let some of the Tulum night air cool your room, do not throw toilet paper in the toilet. As is true for almost any location in Tulum, please put paper in the trash cans provided.

~~Casa los Pelicanos~~ Beautiful private home right on the beach in the Sian Ka'an reserve!!! Breathtaking and total eco!!!!  This is more the Eco chic- this is Eco- LUXURY!  Can sleep a lot of people.

~~Casa Tortugita~~ Great houses for rent on Tulum Beach. 1 larger house and 1 smaller house, both right on the beach.

~~Dreams Tulum~~ Beautiful All Inclusive resort just North of Tulum.  The perfect combination of Tulum charm and access with the luxuries of a great all-inclusive!

Hotels in Tulum Pueblo range from kick back hostels and rooms for rent, perfect for budget travel in Tulum and those backpacking through the area, to wonderful boutique hotels that give personal attention. Guests will find a wide variety of hotels in Tulum pueblo located all throughout town. Tulum pueblo has many wonderful shops,

• Although many places will have 24 hour electricity and wireless Internet, it is important to remember that these might not be as consistent as you would be accustomed.  Power outages happen frequently and there is not much that the hotels can do.  Remember that most places are run on solar and wind power. When/ if the lights go out- put your computer away and have dinner by candle light.

•  Many… in fact almost all of the hotels on Tulum beach do not have air conditioning. This is because the -almost- constant breeze off of the water and coupled with fans keeps most people perfectly comfortable.  There are very few times in the year when you would need air conditioning so this is usually not a factor for people.  If you are staying in town however- this might be more desired but it is also more available.
  
• Because the hotels on Tulum beach are set between the lapping waves of the turquoise water and the low growing trees and mangroves of the tropical rain forest, mosquitoes can be an issue. This can be easily solved by using eco friendly bug spray and incense.
